So I wanted to write a few words about my blog before I continue with it. I know most (smart?) people write SEO-laden blog language about business, products, and all of the happy-all-the-time things going on in their personal and professional lives. And bravo to them. In my blog I’ve decided to focus on single images and briefly describe how they came to be. Most of these images appear on my Instagram feed. My style is part documentary, a bit journalistic but often abstract and artistic. This blog is a very personal account of these images. It isn’t intended to be advertising for my business, it’s more about my sense of what works visually and where those ideas lead. I mostly shoot on Cape Cod, but I turn up in some strange places.
I’ve spent a lifetime trying to avoid the obvious shot and am reminded everyday that the obvious shot is different for everyone. But I still try.
